Book of Proceedings

OPEN ACCESS POLICY

The EGA26 book of proceedings, including all accepted communications, will be published in the UPCommons repository of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya under the Creative Commons license CC BY-NC-ND 4.0. EGA26 provides open access to the communications presented in the various sections (thematic areas) and allows authors to retain full copyright of their communication without restrictions.

STATEMENT OF ETHICS AND GOOD PRACTICES

EGA26 is committed to developing publication policies that promote ethical and responsible research practices, in accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Publication of Original Work
EGA26 will consider only those communications that have not been previously published in any other conference, journal, book, or any printed or digital publication format.

Peer Review Process
EGA26 will ensure that the peer review process is fair and that the published information is objective and impartial. To this end, all submitted works will undergo a double-blind peer review by members of the Review Committee. Evaluation reports will be based on originality, significance, methodological soundness, and clarity of presentation. Should disagreements arise between author, editor, and reviewer during the review process, they will be understood as part of a constructive critical dialogue aimed at improving the publication.

Transparency
Authors are required to explicitly and clearly indicate all funding sources that supported the work in their communications.

Authorship of Communications
All authors listed in the communication must have actively contributed to it.

Promoting Research Integrity
If EGA26 suspects research misconduct in any communication (e.g., data fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism), the authors will be consulted about the procedures followed in the research and will be required to provide the necessary information.

Backups
All conference communications will be archived in the official UPC repository: UPCommons, where regular backups are made, and document accessibility is guaranteed via DOI and Handle identifiers.

SUBMISSION PREPARATION CHECKLIST

As part of the submission process, authors are required to verify that their submission meets all the following criteria. Submissions that do not comply with these guidelines will be returned to the authors:

  • The submission has not been previously published nor is it under consideration by any other journal.
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word format, adhering to the editorial standards and template formatting.
  • Anonymity must be ensured: no author names should appear in the document or its content. The Word file must not contain any electronic trace of authorship in its properties, nor should it contain comments or track changes.
  • Where possible, URLs should be provided for references.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements summarized in the Author Guidelines.

AUTHOR GUIDELINES

The congress is managed through the MyEvent UPC platform (not yet enabled). The main author must register in advance in order to submit proposals and full communications. The Review Committee will evaluate submissions through the platform using a double-blind peer review process. Only submissions that strictly comply with the EGA26 author guidelines and requirements will be considered.

EGA26 will only accept works that have not been previously published, regardless of the format. This policy is based on the belief that redundant publication can bias the scientific literature and lead to significant consequences.

Communication proposals may be submitted in Spanish, English, Italian, Portuguese, or French. However, the working language of the congress is Spanish. All final contributions will be published in their original language, with an abstract and keywords in both English and the original language.

At the end of a contribution, acknowledgments must be included, explicitly stating the sources of research funding (if any), as well as any substantial assistance, advice, or recommendations provided by third parties. Authors are also reminded to cite all references and graphic sources, indicating their origin or copyright, in accordance with the communication template guidelines.

PRIVACY STATEMENT

The names and email addresses entered in this congress platform will be used exclusively for the stated purposes and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
