Carme Pinós i Desplat

Carme Pinós (Barcelona, 1954) is an internationally renowned Catalan architect. She graduated from the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB). Early in her career, she collaborated with Enric Miralles on projects such as the Igualada Cemetery and the Archery Range in Vall d’Hebron for the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games.
She later founded her own practice, Estudio Carme Pinós, with notable works such as the Cube office tower and the Escola Massana. Pinós understands architecture as a service to society, based on surprise, emotion, and generosity, and believes that buildings should foster trust and relate to their surroundings.
In 2021 she received the Spanish National Architecture Award.

Carlos Bañón Blázquez

Carlos Bañón Blázquez (Alicante, 1978) is an architect specializing in computational design, advanced fabrication, and digital methodologies applied to architecture. He graduated and obtained a master’s degree in architecture from the University of Alicante, and in 2005 co-founded the studio Subarquitectura in Alicante, where he worked on projects such as the city tram stop.
He is a full professor of Architecture and Sustainable Design at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) and director of the Architectural Intelligence Research Lab (AirLab) in Singapore. He has been a visiting professor at institutions such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). His research and work focus on 3D printing applied to construction, circular economy, geometric exploration, and artificial intelligence in architectural design, and he has received several international awards, including the Singapore President’s Design Award.

Karina Gibert i Oliveras (moderator)
Karina Gibert is a professor at UPC – Barcelona Tech. She holds a degree and a PhD in Computer Science specializing in computational statistics and AI. Dean of the Official College of Computer Engineering of Catalonia. Vice president of the General Council of Professional Colleges of Computer Engineering of Spain. Founder of mujeres COEINF, DonesIAcat, and co-founder of Women in Computer Engineering and the BCN chapter of Women in ACM. Medal of Honor of the Parliament of Catalonia 2025, Fidem Award 2025, Top 100 most influential women in Catalonia (Forbes 2025), WomenTech 2023 (Women360), National Computer Engineering Award 2023, and donaTIC2018 Award (GenCat).

Héctor Mendoza Ramírez
Héctor Mendoza is an architect from ITESO University of Guadalajara (Mexico), a PhD in architecture from UPC, a Master’s graduate from the AA School of Architecture (London), and professor in the Department of Architectural Representation at ETSAB since 2008.
Co-founder of the studio Mendoza Partida, his work combines cultural and public projects through experimentation, research, and innovative solutions. He was awarded at the 13th Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism (2016) for the Gösta Serlachius Museum project in Finland. He received the Iconic Awards of the German Design Council (2023). Finalist of the FAD Awards international category with the ROG Art Center in Slovenia (2024), and winner of the Spanish Architecture Award 2025 for the Kunstsilo project in Kristiansand (Norway).

Roberto Molinos Esparza
Roberto Molinos is an architect and CEO of Modelical, a consulting and engineering firm specializing in the digitalization of the AECO sector and the built environment. They work on large-scale infrastructure projects, including stadiums, airports, energy, logistics, and industrial assets, as well as the definition and implementation of BIM strategies, digital twins, AI applications, and data management for public and private organizations. He is an associate professor and lecturer at the IE School of Architecture and Design, teaching computational design, BIM, and technology management, and leads executive training programs focused on digital transformation in the AEC sector. Roberto is also director and promoter of Algomad, an international workshop and conference on computational design.
